About The Site

I continually find myself week after week hopping onto the web and searching for interesting things to do in Connecticut. Sadly, the results I get are always disappointing.  Most of the sites that have listings are either incomplete, have old outdated information, or just repeat the same Top 20 things to do in Connecticut. There are only so many times you can visit Mystic Seaport or go to Pepe’s Pizza before you are clamoring for something new and exciting.

Many people will counter with, “Well it’s Connecticut, if you want new and exciting just go to New York City or Boston”. While I absolutely love going on day trips to NYC and enjoyed the few times I’ve visited Boston, there is a multitude of places to visit, good food to be eaten, and entertaining times to be had. However, I can’t always get away to different places at the drop of a hat. On top of that, there are plenty of interesting things to do in Connecticut if you just have an open mind and don’t need $14 mixed drinks to have a good time.

If you happened upon this site looking for a list of all the events happening on a real time, day for day basis, sorry to disappoint, but I just don’t have the capacity at the moment to conqueror such an endeavor. If you are looking for reviews of stock Connecticut places such as Carmen Anthony(which by the way is a hugely overpriced, over-hyped version of Applebees) you’ve come to the wrong website. If you don’t enjoy trying new things or visiting places that have character and life to them, places that aren’t corporate handled and devoid of anything but the appearance of perfection, you probably will find many of the places I enjoy visiting to be lacking.

At the moment there are no sponsors or anyone helping pay for the reviews or advertising I am doing on this site. I will never put up an ad for somewhere I wouldn’t visit on a regular basis and I will never give a good review or recommendation to somewhere just because they are paying for space. However, if there are any businesses that would like to add menu links or a small banner or any other information about their sites or places of business, I’d be happy to discuss an arrangement. Please use the contact information page to send me an email.

I sincerely hope I can bring to you as much joy as I have found in visiting some of these amazing places in Connecticut.
